Adult Ministry
At Friendship Lutheran Church, there are many opportunities for adults to grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and serve others. Through Bible studies, mission trips, fellowship, service projects, and other ministries, we encourage adults of all ages and stages of life to connect and become an active part of our church family.
Men in Mission
Our Lutheran Men in Mission team currently meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month for Bible study and prayer. We meet at 8am for about an hour. We typically start our morning with biscuits, coffee and juice. We have a video and then follow with devotional time discussions that allows our men to engage in our topic of the day and share how any of this may be related to what’s going on in our world and our lives and how we can take what we learn in our session and apply it outside the doors of our church. We have been involved with a local school project, have supported Care Team projects as well as being involved with our youth to support them in local mission projects.
WELCA
The women's ministry at Friendship is an active group that meets monthly for prayer and study. All women are invited to be a part of this ministry as we consider how God calls us to serve. We also participate in some regional and national Women of the ELCA events.
Secret Sisters
Secret Sisters is a group of ladies who enjoy building each other up in faith and fellowship. Ladies in this ministry are given a secret sister and encouraged to regularly gift them to show love and appreciation in hopes that it brings a smile to their heart. At the end of the year, all the secret sisters gather for a celebration dinner where their secret sister is revealed and the building up of the body of Christ happens as they discover who has been gifting them all year long. All ladies are invited to participate!
Women of the Word - WOW
WOW - Women of the Word is a monthly bible study that brings a group of ladies together in faith and love of God's Word. This small group study may take place at someone's home or at the church. The group usually organizes their study time by using different resources or books on a particular faith topic or book of the bible. All ladies are invited to participate!
