Friendship Preschool is a Christ-centered program that is designed to prepare our students to successfully transition to kindergarten, whether in a private or public school setting. We use both play-based and traditional learning to encourage our students to gain the skills they need. We incorporate music, art, imaginative play and basic motor skill practice into every day's lessons and activities. With God as our center, we offer a safe and loving environment that helps our children build confidence, create friendships, and learn important social skills. We strive to provide a strong academic program that gives each child the foundation they need to meet their full potential. We want to give then a sure foundation to build their future academic success on. Our Friendship Preschool Family believes every child is special in God's eyes, and we are dedicated in helping them all be happy, safe, and successful, ande we are blessed to have them with us during this sweet period in their lives. Meet Mrs. Overcash
My name is Lori Overcash and I am blessed to be beginning my 2nd year as Director at Friendship Preschool. I believe working with young children is God's calling for my life and I have fulfilled this purpose by working in both public and private education for almost 20 years. There is something so rewarding in helping and encouraging young children grow and achieve the potential God has given them. I was born and raised here in Alexander County where I now live in the Sugar Loaf co.munity with my wonderful husband of 32 years, Shawn. One of my greatest joys is being a mother to our 3 amazing children, Luke, Noah, and Mary-Elise. Our family comes complete with a neurotic sog, 1 eyed cat, and a shy little snake. My family and i are active members of Little River Baptist Church where Shawn and I serve as Sunday School teachers. Outside of church and family, I try to visit my most favorite place on Earth, Disney World, as much as possible, enjoy anything football, reading, and swimming. I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve in this precious ministry here at Friendship Preschool and I am looking forward to see what God has in store in the days ahead.
